Fall Fundraiser - We Did it!
Thank you so much for all the donations to the Fall Fundraiser! It is because of our amazing West Clay families and community that we were able to meet our fundraising goal of 27,000 dollars! This fundraiser is the biggest of the year and the money raised helps pay for field trips, classroom subscriptions, recess equipment, supplies for teachers, the school musical, field day, the back to school popsicle party, and much more! Your support is what makes West Clay Elementary so great!
Your Key to Room Parent Communications, Online Directory & Store!
ATTENTION PARENTS: It is important that you create your Membership Toolkit account. There are several events that will be taking place in your child's classroom which will be communicated to you by your Room Parent though the Membership Toolkit application. We don't want anyone to miss out on important information and planned activities this school year! Please follow the instructions below on how to created your account today!
As we get ready for the 2019-2020 school year, please take a few minutes to activate your
Membership Toolkit account. Membership Toolkit allows you to:
- Receive communications from your student's Room Parent about classroom events
- Purchase items from the school's online store, including donating to the Fall Fundraiser
- Access contact information to other parents to plan play dates, birthday parties, etc.
Here's what you need to do:
· Go to http://westclay.membershiptoolkit.com.
- Click on the Register/Login button.
- If you previously had an account with MySchoolAnywhere, use the same email to login. You'll find your information conveniently pre-populated for your quick review.
- Select "Create Account" and fill in the name, email, and password information.
- Click "verify my email" and then check your email for a link to complete the process. The link expires in 2 hours. If you do not receive the email, check your spam or junk folders.
- Once you have verified your email address, log back in and finish the registration process:
- Complete the Parent/Family and Student Information.
- As the first parent receiving this email, you are Parent 1.
- You will have the opportunity to "invite" Parent 2 by selecting "Yes" to "Would you like to invite this person to manage this account with you?"
- Complete the Directory/Publish Preferences.
- Once these forms are complete, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to our Fall Fundraiser.

When: Tuesday, September 24th 2019 - 11:30am-2:00pm / 5:00pm - 8:30pm
The old Spaghetti Factory will donate 15% of your dinner proceeds to West Clay Elementary PTO.

Creekside Cat Race
The annual Creekside Cat Race is quickly approaching and is scheduled for Saturday, September 28th beginning at 8:30 am in the Village of West Clay at 12775 Horseferry Rd. Carmel, IN 46032.
For those of you not familiar with the Cat Race, it is a 5K walk/run family and community event with 1000+ runners/walkers that helps to raise funds for Creekside athletics and activities. Last year, with the funds from the Cat Race, we offered 30 different clubs which were attended by more than 500 Creekside students, reconditioned athletic equipment, purchased team jerseys, maintained the facilities, hired event workers and officials, and provided resources to recognize our scholar athletes.
Registration Competition Among Elementary Schools
To increase excitement at the elementary level, we would love to have a registration competition among West Clay, Towne Meadow, and College Wood students. The grade level at each school that has the most participants registered for the race will win an activities day at Creekside with the Wellness classes! All the students’ parents have to do is register using the link below and choose which school their child attends and which grade level he/she is in.
To be guaranteed a t-shirt, parents must register by September 9th.
Box Tops For Education
Every Box Top that you collect is worth 10 cents towards our school! The classroom who collects the most Box Tops will receive a 50 dollar gift card towards their class! If you haven't noticed the Box Tops program is transitioning to a totally digital format. Remember if you are clipping those BoxTops just make sure that they are valid based on their expiration date.
Place them in a ziplock bag labeled with your teachers name.
They can be turned into the front office or directly to your child's teacher.

Carmel Arts Council Autumn Art Contest
THEME: Fall Themed Art
Due: Wednesday, October 23 to Mrs. Bannister OR drop off by Saturday, October 26th to The Great Frame Up in Carmel, IN.
Details: The Artwork must be original and must be created on 8.5x11 paper. No 3D artwork will be accepted. Art must have label with name and contact info.
Fall Ideas to use: Leaves, Warm Colors, Skeletons, Pumpkins, Sweaters, Bats, S'mores, Pumpkin Spice, Cider, Campfires, Apple Orchards, Scarecrows, Mums, Crows
